Trading
Orders and margin
How positions, margin and position size work.
Every trade opens its own self-contained position with isolated margin. A loss on one position never touches the margin of another.
| Rule | Value |
|---|---|
| Order type | Market (fills immediately) |
| Margin mode | Isolated, per position |
| Minimum margin | 10 pUSD |
| Maximum position size | 10,000,000 pUSD (margin × leverage) |
| Open positions at once | Up to 10 |
Position size
Position size = margin × leverage. With 200 pUSD of margin at 100x, your position is 20,000 pUSD, so a 1% price move is a 200 pUSD gain or loss, which is your whole margin.
Changing a position
- You can't add margin to an open position or change its leverage.
- Closing always closes the full position.
- To scale in, open another position. To reduce risk, close and reopen smaller.
- Close all closes every open position at once.
